SSL, or to be more precise, TLS, is a protocol for encrypting Internet traffic and verifying server identity with the use of a public and private key.

These keys are essentially long strings of characters generated specifically for the purpose of encrypting and decrypting. Data encrypted with the public key can only be decrypted with the private key and vice versa.

We follow the strict GDPR regulations to ensure your data is protected and only accessible by you and your Trusted Appointees.

We conduct regular penetration tests following OWASP’s global guidelines to keep our platform safe against new threats.

ISO-27001

Life After Me is certified by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) under its 27001 security category. This is a rigorous international certification requiring us to be at the highest level of security

All files and communications are protected using industry-standard encryption, ensuring no one but you and your chosen appointees can view them.

Life After Me has been approved by Thuiswinkel Waarborg, the Dutch certification body for consumer rights and IT security.

Multi Factor Authentication

We don’t just protect your data from theft; we also require authorised access even to view it! To do so, every time you sign in, we can send a message to your registered email address, mobile phone or authenticator app with a unique sign-in code.

Risk assessment

To make sure we walk the walk, we employ ethical hackers to test our platform’s security measures. Their job was to expose any potential risks in the system in a legitimate, lawful manner, to highlight any vulnerabilities and to fix them. We passed their test with honours, and we’ll keep on testing to prevent any security breaches from occurring.

Microsoft Azure – One of the World's Leading Software for IT hosting files and other data, using the highest industrial security standards. All Life After Me data will be hosted on Azure's cloud servers in Europe.
